This workshop will demystify the different components necessary to the act of writing. As handwriting issues are a classic referrals for occupational therapy assessment and intervention, we take a closer look at the different components that actually impact on efficient handwriting skill, as well as including this skill in written expression assignments such as essays.
As we are transitioning more and more into replacing typing for actual handwriting, we will also look at what the research really says about this.
This course will cover theory, but also assessment and practical tips throughout the day. The therapist will feel empowered to look deeper and be more equipped to understand this complicated developmental capacity.
